Effective 1 June 2008, Tjalling Halbertsma will resign as chairman of the Rabo Bouwfonds Board of Directors due to a business-related difference of opinion. As the managing director of Rabobank’s property division, he was responsible for the acquisition of Bouwfonds. Starting in December 2006, he took on the role of chairman of the Rabo Bouwfonds Board of Directors. Until a new chairman is appointed, Peter Keur (also chairman of the management board of FGH bank) will temporarily act as chairman of the Board of Directors.

Rabo Bouwfonds intends to split up the organisation and change from three to four divisions. The Development division will be subdivided into a Residential Property Development division and a Commercial Property Development division. After the split-up, Rabo Bouwfonds intends to appoint Isaäc Kalisvaart, currently management board member of the Development division, as member of the Board of Directors and chairman of the management board of the Commercial Property Development division.

Rabo Bouwfonds furthermore intends to appoint Walter de Boer, director of the business unit for Central and East Netherlands at Bouwfonds Property Development, as chairman of the management board of the Residential Property Development division and member of the Rabo Bouwfonds Board of Directors after the split-up. The aforementioned decisions are subject to the Works Council’s recommendation.

The Board of Directors thus consists of Jos van Lange (CFRO), Peter Keur, Jean Klijnen (also chairman of Bouwfonds REIM), Isaäc Kalisvaart and Walter de Boer.

When Hans ten Cate retires as a member of the Management Board of Rabobank effective 1 July 2008, he will continue his position as chairman of the Supervisory Board of Rabo Bouwfonds. He will continue to be actively involved in further structuring and expanding the activities of Rabo Bouwfonds.
