Sustainable development

For Rabo Real Estate Group, sustainable development primarily means good entrepreneurship. Naturally this entails that we adhere to the rules, but we also keep our promises, taking into account the social context within which we are operating.  Integrity is the key word here. Thus, sustainable development is also about how you do business and with whom. Rabo Real Estate Group strives for sustainable relationships with its partners.

Although Rabo Real Estate Group is a commercially operating company, our working methodology is characterized by extensive involvement in the community. Thus, the solutions we develop are also characterized by long-term vision, with consideration for the interests of all parties involved: the investor, the end user, and the society. Another aspect of our involvement is Bouwfonds Public Fund Management, which provides professional services and facilities to charitable, government-associated funds in the field of historical preservation, public housing and culture. Rabo Real Estate Group is also an active participant in public debate in the Netherlands, particularly in the field of environmental planning.

    Profit, people, planet

  • According to the advice of the SER (Social and Economic Council), ‘De winst van waarden’ (Advisory report on Corporate Social Responsibility), there are two elements that determine whether we can rightly speak of corporate sustainability.

    FSC-wood

  • In 2004, Rabo Real Estate Group closed an agreement with FSC. This established that Rabo Real Estate Group will use sustainably-produced wood with the FSC Quality mark in 20 percent of all of its new housing developments in The Netherlands.

    Triodos Bank

  • In April of 2004, Rabo Real Estate Group launched a real estate fund in cooperation with Triodos Bank which exclusively invests in sustainably-constructed business premises and monuments.
