Code of conduct

We want to operate with integrity and be socially responsible. This imposes high demands on our conduct. The code of conduct provides us with the outlines of the relevant framework. A code of conduct is not a goal in itself, but rather an instrument to make our corporate culture (how we want to behave towards each other and our clients and business associates) clear to all employees and make it easier for them to discuss.

The code of conduct indicates our direction, in how we think about concepts such as ‘integrity’, ‘the appearance of a conflict of interest’, ‘to avoid conflicts of interest’, and makes these concepts a topic for discussion in our organisation.

    Basic principles

  • Our code of conduct contains the basic principles of Rabo Real Estate Group for ethical conduct. As a minimum, we have to comply with laws and regulations, with socially accepted standards and values, and with the specific standards and values applicable to Rabo Real Estate Group. This means that the employees are familiar with relevant external laws and regulations and internal rules, and obviously that these are complied with. It is important that employees act not only according to the letter, but particularly also according to the spirit of the conduct code. Always use your common sense at work, but also outside work. After all, careless behaviour at home not only affects the employee, but may also be detrimental to Rabo Real Estate Group as the employer and as a market party.

    Purpose of the code of conduct

  • The internal regulations in the code of conduct pertain to the following:

    - contributing to the ethical conduct of Rabo Real Estate Group and its employees;

    - handling confidential information with discretion and caution;

    - avoiding conflicts of interest, and the possible appearance thereof, between Rabo Real Estate Group, clients, business associates and employees;

    - avoiding and preventing the appearance of any form of corruption, fraud or bribery;

    - operating in line with standards of conduct, internally and externally. Rabo Real Estate Group does not conduct business with persons who are known to display unacceptable social conduct.

     The code of conduct is based on laws and regulations, case law and guidelines of the Rabobank Group.

    Ambition and responsibilities

  • It is Rabo Real Estate Group’s ambition to contribute to the creation of long-term value for people, the environment and economy with its business activities. We assume, and it is our goal, that our activities are good for our organisation (profit), our environment (planet) and our employees, clients and society (people). We want to be a leading international real estate organisation that realises the ambitions of its clients. Within this context, the employees are decisive for our success. We expect, and also encourage, enterprising conduct and personal initiative. The guiding principle is that everybody is responsible for their own actions, also ethically.
